The NBA Finals are a spectacle unlike any other, and the best part is that they’re not over until somebody wins. Here’s a look at what might happen in 2022 if we were to go by the numbers.
The when is the nba finals 2021 is a question that has been asked many times. Many people want to know when the NBA Finals will take place, and what teams will be participating in it.
It takes a lot of team depth, superstars, healthy players, and a little bit of luck to make it to the NBA championship game. It just takes a little bit of imagination in our heads. Before we know it, the new year will be here. During the offseason, we witnessed a lot of changes as clubs prepared to make a playoff run and win a championship.
In the NBA Finals, the best-case scenario does not always occur. We imagine what the greatest NBA Finals might be each year for fans who desire strong rivalries, rich stories, and that extra layer of drama. There weren’t many stories between the Suns and Bucks last season since they were both very likeable teams. The 7 greatest potential scenarios for the 2022 NBA Finals will include not just all the drama, but also some very good basketball.
7. Philadelphia 76ers vs. Denver Nuggets
These NBA Finals would include the top two MVP vote-getters. Jokic was named MVP in 2021, with Embiid coming in second. Embiid could have won the trophy if he hadn’t missed over 20 games due to injury after guiding the 76ers to the top of the conference.
Back in the day, the bruiser was the guy in the center. The big guy of today must be able to shoot threes and pass. These two attacking centers are among the best we’ve seen in the contemporary age.
6. Milwaukee Bucks vs. Phoenix Suns
A list of the best-case possibilities would be incomplete without a repeat of the previous NBA Finals. To begin with, this season’s Bucks-Suns rivalry was incredible. It was a back-and-forth battle between the two squads. In Game 6, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 50 points. The Suns took an early 2-0 lead before dropping four of their next five games. Chris Paul has yet to win a title.
Can Giannis follow in the footsteps of Shaq and become a two-time champion? In this rematch, there are still plenty of stories to be had.
5. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat

The Heat and Lakers are the favorites to win the NBA Finals in 2020, although both teams have improved since then. The Lakers boast one of the deepest benches in the NBA, as well as Westbrook, who is a triple-double machine. The Heat, on the other hand, have added Kyle Lowry, who has transformed them into a tough club in the NBA.
The Heat are still nursing wounds from a previous loss to the Lakers. This bears the appearance of being a physical series. With guys like Jimmy Butler, Russell Westbrook, Kyle Lowry, and others in this series who thrive on confrontation, you can bet there will be a staring showdown on the horizon.
4. Golden State Warriors vs. Milwaukee Bucks

Remember when Giannis Antetokounmpo was rumored to be joining the Warriors? Then he remained with the Bucks and won a championship with them. What a thrill it would be to see him beat the Warriors. The doubters would then be in Durant’s ear about his two championships.
Regardless, Curry and Giannis finished third and fourth in the MVP vote, respectively. This would be a matchup between two of the league’s top players. Curry can brag about becoming a champion for the second time. Toppling this previous dynasty would be a difficult job for Giannis.
3. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Milwaukee Bucks

There’d be legacy vs. legacy. For openers, it would be a matchup between the league’s two most recent champions. It would allow either club to claim bragging rights as the greatest franchise as of later.
It would also be a contest between LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo to see who can contribute to their respective legacies in the league. Is it possible for the Bucks to slow down Westbrook, Davis, and LeBron? This seems to be a far more difficult challenge than the Suns.
2. Golden State Warriors vs. Brooklyn Nets
If the Warriors are healthy, this might be a game to remember. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have a three-time championship dynasty. They haven’t gone to the Finals since Durant departed for the Nets in 2019, so it’s been a while.
Durant, on the other hand, has been chastised for joining the 73-win Warriors, and his titles have been marked with an asterisk. This would be Durant’s opportunity to disprove his critics.
1. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Brooklyn Nets
Isn’t this supposed to be the NBA Finals that everyone is cheering for? Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving are pitted against LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook. In one NBA Finals, there were six future Hall of Famers.
When was the last time you saw anything like this? Not to mention the rivalry between LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. Is it possible for LeBron to win his fifth championship and get closer to GOAT status, or is it possible for Irving to win without LeBron? That’s a lot of delicious headlines.
