If you’re like us, you’re enjoying what’s happening to the world right now. As is often the case with movies, the plot of Last Night in Soho is shrouded in mystery. All we know is that Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch, The Witch) plays Lara, a young woman who wakes up in an isolated hotel room with no memory of her time traveling experiences. As she investigates her surroundings, she discovers that she’s not alone; an older version of herself is living in the same hotel with her.

While on location in London, “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown was spotted last night at the London set of “Last Night in Soho”, which just wrapped up filming on its second trailer. According to the London Times, the film’s synopsis is this: “A young woman travels to 1960s London with two best friends, only to find that the course of history is about to change thanks to her presence.”

With the success of The Witch and Split, the next movie from director Robert Eggers is already starting to make its rounds. The film, titled Anya Taylor-Joy’s Time Travel Thriller, stars the actress as a young girl who goes back to the year 1665 where she must try to prevent the death of William Shakespeare.

Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho has now received its official trailer. The psychological horror film, from the director of Shaun of the Dead, Baby Driver, and Ant-Man, just had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival. Focus Features has published the official trailer online ahead of the film’s October premiere. You can see it below.

Last Night in Soho’s tagline reads: “Eloise, a young lady with a peculiar sixth sense and a love for fashion design, is inexplicably transported back in time to 1966 London in the body of her hero, Sandie, a singer. Sandie starts a love connection while in her body, but she soon realizes that the glitter of 1960s London isn’t what it seems, and the past and present seem to collide with murky and frightening results.”

Last Night in Soho is directed by Wright, who co-wrote the script with Krysty Wilson-Cairns. Matt Smith, Terence Stam, Rita Tushingtham, Jessie Mei Li, and Michael Ajao join Thomasin McKenzie and Anya Taylor-Joy in a cast that also includes Matt Smith, Terence Stam, Rita Tushingtham, Jessie Mei Li, and Michael Ajao. Diana Rigg, the late Bond girl and Game of Thrones actress, is also included in a posthumous role. Margaret Nolan, who died in October 2020, makes her last performance in a film.

“It’s difficult to separate the movie from working with her now,” Edgar Wright said at a press conference promoting the world premiere on Saturday. “The thought of the movie was quite interesting, very emotional experience to conceive and make, and now that’s all tied up with the fact that Diana is no longer with us.” “In such heartbreaking circumstances, I won’t be able to enjoy another gossipy lunch with Diana Rigg. The only thing I can take from it is how fortunate I was to work with her and get to know her.”

“Our protagonist Eloise embarks on a trip in ‘Last Night in Soho.’ From the countryside to the city, and then back again, “Wright recently encouraged spectators not to ruin the movie for others on Twitter. “When the film premieres on October 29th, I hope that the public will join me on that trip. We purposefully pushed the film’s release date out to the fall, not only so that it might potentially be seen on the largest screen possible, but also so that the evenings would be longer and the audience would be able to come in chilly… literally.”

He said, ” “Last Night in Soho’s cast and crew are ecstatic to be debuting at the Venice Film Festival, and we’d like to beg you, our first viewers, to preserve the secrets contained inside so that others may find them later. When it comes to writing about the movie, we want everyone who watches it to be able to discover the narrative with Eloise. So, if at all possible, please preserve the experience for future audiences so that what occurs in Last Night in Soho remains in Soho….”
