The Secret Law of Attraction CastMarch 3rd, 2010The Secret law of attraction DVD has been purchased and digested by millions of Americans, but is it all it’s cracked up to be? Who are the people interviewed in this movie and what qualifications do they have to tell us how to live our lives? Critics suggest this collection of motivational speakers, authors, life coaches and retreat hosts hooked up to promote the law of attraction theory simply to churn a profit. Sometimes the proof is in the pudding and we need to make a further examination of their life stories to determine if these people are credible. There are a number of authors interviewed in The Secret DVD, including Mike Dooley, Bob Doyle, Hal Dwoskin, Lisa Nichols, Marci Shimoff and Neale Donald Walsch. The most famous of all these writers is undoubtedly Jack Canfield, author of the best-selling “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book series. In the laws of attraction movie, Canfield talks about how he visualized his book’s success long before it went on to sell over 100 million copies. Despite his tremendously successful career, his personal life was fraught with difficulties. Canfield is now on his third marriage and his son, Oran, recently published a book called “Long Past Stopping” that describes his childhood as tumultuous and his father as distant, which calls into question the validity of the self-help industry. Another interesting character in The Secret law of attraction DVD is motivational speaker/author/entrepreneur John Assaraf. In the film, he gives law of attraction tips like creating “vision boards” to help visualize the success you desire. Following a turbulent childhood living on the streets, Assaraf has made a comeback as a successful entrepreneur who set the foundation for RE/MAX Indiana (which generates over $5 billion in sales each year), www.bamboo.com (which generated over $30 million in 10 months) and founded One Coach to help other aspiring business leaders. He has also penned several successful books, such as “The Answer” (about harnessing the law of abundance for businesses) and “Having It All — Achieving Your Life’s Goals and Dreams.” One of The Secret law of attraction film stars, philosopher James Arthur Ray, has been under fire for the tragic deaths of two participants at his Arizona “Sweat Lodge” in 2009. Some participants paid up to $10,000 for Ray’s program, which included 36 hours of fasting and a “vision quest” exercise in the desert. In addition to those who died, 18 others were hospitalized with burns, severe dehydration, breathing problems, kidney failure or elevated body temperatures. Despite his success as a motivational speaker and author, James Arthur Ray lacks the ability to apply the law of attraction in a retreat setting. According to Native American sweat lodge experts, one must take 4 to 8 years of apprenticeships before leading such a ceremony. Beth Kaminski is a leading expert in the help with panic attacks and has been publishing lots of information on the best anxiety disorder medication for years now. Tags: News Articles |
