She also is far more friendly to LGBT rights than the President is, as she has stated Don’t Ask Don’t Tell should go and also the marriage issue should be left to the states, according to an interview with the Connecticut Mirror.

Texas congressman Louie Gohmert and state representative Debbie Riddle said that pregnant illegal immigrants come to the U.S. and have babies on the taxpayer’s dime. Then they take their little U.S. citizens home to be trained as deadly sleeper agents, who return as an adults to attack from within.

Concerns with terror babies

CNN’s Anderson Cooper talked all about the conspiracy theory about terror babies. All the details on terror babies came from “former FBI officials” as outlined by Republicans in Texas, Riddle and Gohmert. Terror babies are the reason why Gohmert would like to change the 14th amendment. Riddle explains that immigrant women have kids in America “with the nefarious purpose of turning them into little terrorists, who’ll then come back to the U.S. and do us harm.” There is no proof that terror babies actually exist as they were being pressed by Cooper. Of course Riddle didn’t think she would really need facts during the interview which is what she said on camera.

When thinking about how the law is set up, says Think Progress, there isn’t really much of a chance for there to be terror babies like these. Getting a visa to the U.S. is quite difficult. The U.S. has fingerprints, photos and evidence of the purpose of the trip for these individuals also as having had an interview with an officer who works at the U.S. embassy. Children in born in the U.S. to immigrant women are generally only born there because their mother’s purpose in the country is typically to work.

Starting your own citizenship with anchor babies

The terror babies idea is an escalated perversion of the “anchor babies” talking point used by Republican senators who argue the 14th amendment needs to be rewritten to curb automatic “birthright citizenship.” However PolitiFact reports that having an anchor baby won’t put a Mexican or Middle Eastern mom on the fast track to become a U.S. citizen. Nonexistent evidence from the FBI

Gohmert and Riddle told this terror babies story to CNN while Cooper then turned around and interviewed an FBI’s assistant director in international operations who served from 2004 to 1008 named Tom Fuentes. As outlined by Fuentes, there has never been anything on terror babies. The Texas Tribune got on this with Elise Hu who wanted to learn about any records made between a previous FBI agent and Riddle. No such records exist.
